Sometimes a yard just needs a full reset. That's exactly what this backyard called for - old, rotting raised beds taking up the whole space, uneven ground that wasn't draining right, and no real chance for grass to grow until all of that was dealt with first.
We came in, tore out the deteriorating raised bed frames, and cleared everything down to bare ground. What you're left with after that kind of demo is usually a pretty rough surface - uneven spots, buried debris, soft areas where the old beds sat. That's where the grading work comes in.
Regrading isn't just about making things look flat. It's about making sure water moves away from the structure, that the soil is compacted and consistent, and that whatever goes down next - whether that's seed, sod, or something else - actually has a fighting chance. Skipping that step is one of the most common reasons a new lawn fails within the first season.
We graded the entire area so it drains properly and sits ready for grass to establish. The prep work is what holds everything together long term. Get it wrong and you're dealing with low spots, pooling water, and patchy turf for years. Get it right and the yard practically takes care of itself from there.
This is the kind of landscaping work that doesn't always get the attention it deserves - but it's the foundation everything else is built on. If you've got a space that's been neglected, needs a full teardown, or just isn't draining the way it should, this is exactly what we do.
